When we find ourselves confronted by disease, disappointment, delay, and even death, our only encouragement is Jesus and His Word. In all circumstances that we encounter we must live by faith and not by sight. Some people think of faith as a kind of mental belief but for the writers of the New Testament, faith means entrusting yourself fully to Jesus. We must understand that the reason why we can trust God is not because we love Him, but because He loves us.

In the story about Lazarus in John 11, Jesus wants us to know that He is the Lord of life. Do you believe that too? It's important that we do not just believe that He exists but believe by entrusting your entire life to Him. Jesus is the Lord of life; trust Him.
