Frog dance (Lloyd) - Grand Wheel (From The Archives)

Описание к видео Frog dance (Lloyd) - Grand Wheel (From The Archives)

I was trawling through my Sound Archives and found this little gem from one of our first entries into sound recording. This guitar piece was written by Pete Lloyd around 1970 aged around 16.He recorded it on his home tape recorder probably at 3.3/4 inches per second. It was recorded as a solo and put on our first acetate. I audiodubbed it with Piano, Bass and Saxes 54 years later on my Zoom R24 MUltitrack after being re-recorded onto cassette, then Cd then Mp 3 and finally a Wav file after the audio dubs and editing.Prior to Digital there was always a mixing loss when transfering so after 54 years the quality isn't too bad. I was able to enhance the original with a bit of editing and may include it on one of my albums as a Bonus track.
We were going to call the Band Grenouille (French for Frog)but on our stage Debut at St.Dunstans Moston the announcer misheard the name and called us Grand Wheel. Frog Dance fitted the Grenouille idea.
Had Grenouille appeared on Wikimedia the past members would probably be quite extensive. Paul Griffin was in one of our earlier incarnations and has been in touch recently to start again and can be heard on my youtube channel.
