How to Embed Subtitles into a Video Permanently:

Join/login to Veed and begin a new project. Upload the footage you wish to add subtitles to.

To begin adding subtitles, head over to the sidebar on the left, and click on the “Subtitles” option. This will open the subtitle window, and will show you three options for subtitling.

You can either upload a pre-existing file, enter the subtitles in manually, or you can get Veed to automatically generate subtitles using the video's audio.

Select “Auto Transcribe” and select the language you are speaking in from the dropdown menu and click “Start”, you will then see Veed working to create the subtitles.

If your subtitles have a few mistakes, it’s very easy to fix these. Head to the subtitle editor on the left, and adjust the words accordingly.

If your subtitle timings aren’t quite correct, you can extend or shorten the length of time by clicking and dragging the text box along the timeline, or you can hit the stopwatch button and Veed will automatically split the text at the section where your playhead is.

Once the subtitles are timed correctly, you are able to adjust the style of them. You can select a different font, change the size and colour, and add a drop shadow or text box around the subtitles. You can also place the subtitles anywhere on your video, by clicking and dragging the text box to the position you would like.

If you want to download the subtitles as a file, head over to the “Options” tab, and select which subtitles file you wish to download, and then hit the “Download” button. If you want to burn the text into the actual video, head over to the “Export” button in the top right corner.

Using the drop down menu, select the file resolution you wish to export in, and make sure the “Burn Subtitles” button is highlighted. When you’re ready, hit the Export button.

Once it has been exported you can check the final video by hitting play, and when you are ready, hit the Download MP4 button so that the file can be saved straight to your computer.
