G20 summit: Biden, Trudeau and Meloni miss official group photo after trilateral meeting runs late

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U.S. President Joe Biden and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni missed the official photograph at the 2024 G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro after arriving late due to a trilateral meeting.

The trio arrived just as the other leaders were getting off the stage set for the photograph.

Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio da Silva opened the summit with the launch of a global alliance to combat poverty and hunger, which more than 80 countries have agreed to back.
