Maggie was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation after having horrible headaches

When Maggie's many doctor visits didn't improve her horrible headaches, she turned to the internet to find out what to do. As a biology professor, she understood what she was reading and quickly came to the conclusion she suffered from Chiari malformation.

She read about MHSI's Holly Gilmer, M.D. on blogs and even on Facebook from others who had the same issues, which led her to make an appointment. Dr. Holly Gilmer found that Maggie had Chiari One Malformation and performed a sub occipital craniectomy. Months after the surgery, Maggie wants to share her story so others don't have to suffer like she did.
