MALAYSIAN KING'S FAVOURITE FOOD | 60 YRS NASI LEMAK ROYALE

I was in Alor Setar to try out the Sultan (King) of Kedah's favourite dish, Nasi Lemak Royale. The coconut rice is added with "lemak" (oils such as flavoured oils and pandan). It is a heavy carb meal. Once plated you have take pick from the different sauces to drench that rice. Side dishes range from fried chicken, to prawns and a simple boiled egg as well as vegetables.

Besides tucking into the aromatic hearty meal, I had the chance to speak to the owner, Ibrahim, as well, and found out it was his father that started it.
