[Car Fire in Brussels Rogiertunnel!] Fire Department responding with Manitou and more

Hier zu sehen, sind mehrere Einsatzfahrzeuge der Feuerwehr in der belgischen Hauptstadt Brüssel auf Einsatzfahrt.

Am 12.08.2024, gegen 12:00 Uhr, geht ein Einsatz an der Hauptfeuerwache Helihaven/Heliport im Brüsseler Zentrum ein. Incendie Milieux Cofines Tunnel lautet das Alarmstichwort. Übersetzt bedeutet die Alarmmeldung Feuer in einem Tunnel. Ein Großaufgebot, bestehend aus zwei Einsatzleitwagen, zwei Löschfahrzeugen, einer Drehleiter, dem Gerätewagen Atemschutz sowie drei Rettungswagen rücken im Erstalarm von der Wache aus. Von den Feuerwachen City und Anderlecht rücken ebenfalls ein Löschfahrzeug aus. Dazu kommen die Notarztfahrzeuge von dem Militärkrankenhaus und dem Krankenhaus Saint Jean.

Der Einsatzort liegt nicht weit von der Hauptfeuerwache. Es ist der Rogiertunnel! Einer der meist befahrensten und wichtigsten Tunnel in Brüssel der durch die Innenstadt führt. Aus dem Tunnel dringt bereits dichter dunkler Qualm. Ein PKW stand in dem Tunnel im Vollbrand. Der Tunnel wurde sofort von beiden Seiten aus gesperrt. Die Feuerwehr rückte, wie im Video zu sehen in Richtung der Rue Simons aus. Der schnellste Anfahrtsweg wäre allerdings in die andere Richtung. Diese war jedoch aufgrund von Bauarbeiten voll gesperrt, weshalb die Feuerwehr hier einen kleinen Umweg nehmen musste. Der PKW wurde schnell durch die Einsatzkräfte gelöscht. Zur Bergung des PKW aus dem Tunnel, rückten der Rüstwagen, der Teleskoplader (Manitou) sowie das Abschleppfahrzeug an. Das Notstromfahrzeug (T9) rückte zur Belüftung des Tunnels an.

Der PKW wurde mit Hilfe des Teleskopladers auf das Abschleppfahrzeug geschoben und dann mit Blaulicht abtransportiert. Der Abtransport ist auch im Video sichtbar.

Außerdem zu sehen ist ein Folgealarm des Rüstwagens und ein PKW der Einsatzdokumentation der Feuerwehr Brüssel, welche ebenfalls Blaulicht verbaut haben.

On August 12, 2024, around 12:00 p.m., an emergency call was received at the main fire station Helihaven/Heliport in the center of Brussels. The alarm keyword was "Incendie Milieux Cofines Tunnel." Translated, the alarm message means "Fire in a tunnel." A large contingent, consisting of two command vehicles, two fire engines, a turntable ladder, the breathing apparatus vehicle, and three ambulances, responded to the initial alarm from the station. A fire engine from the City and Anderlecht fire stations also responded. Additionally, the emergency vehicles from the military hospital and Saint Jean hospital were dispatched.

The incident occurred not far from the main fire station. It was the Rogier Tunnel, one of the busiest and most important tunnels in Brussels, which passes through the city center. Thick, dark smoke was already pouring out of the tunnel. A car was fully engulfed in flames inside the tunnel. The tunnel was immediately closed from both sides. As seen in the video, the fire department proceeded towards Rue Simons. However, the quickest route would have been in the opposite direction, but this was fully blocked due to construction work, forcing the fire department to take a slight detour. The car was quickly extinguished by the emergency services. To recover the car from the tunnel, the rescue vehicle, the telescopic loader (Manitou), and the tow truck were deployed. The emergency power vehicle (T9) was dispatched to ventilate the tunnel.

The car was pushed onto the tow truck with the help of the telescopic loader and then transported away with blue lights flashing. The transport is also visible in the video.

Also visible is a follow-up alarm of the rescue vehicle and a car from the fire department’s documentation team in Brussels, which also had blue lights installed.
