I’m stocked about this tutorial, because we’re gonna learn a lot of really cool stuff. The core of this animation is using an expression that has been native to After effects since the 2018 version, called Create Nulls from Paths. But, as is common with my tutorials, I’m going to show you much more than just this expression. This episode is full of cool tips and secret shortcuts.

I’ll show you how to make a character arm using shape layers. We’ll touch on the valueAtTime expression, a bit of merge paths, we’ll do some pick whipping, and so much more.
