38 crews entered the second edition of the Mitta Mountain Rally. The event was conducted by the North Eastern Car Club on long and challenging stages in the mountains surrounding​ the town of Mitta Mitta as the second round of the Focus on Furniture Victorian Rally Championship.
Glen Raymond and Kate Catford took the win following a great performance throughout the day in their older Subaru Impreza. Both his brother Stephen with Co. Luke Simpson (Impreza) and Warren Lee / David Lethlean (Evo) crashed out.
Driving steadily throughout the day and winning the final 53 km stage clearly, Ben and Cathy Hayes secured second place in their Impreza WRX. The final spot on the rostrum went to Lindsey Wright and Kate Meyer in yet another WRX. Andrew Travis and Arron Topliff were best 2 WD and fourth outright in the Nissan Gazelle.
Luke Sytema and Adam Wright won the Mitta Masters in a Mk 2 Escort ahead of Matthew Byron and Rae Waterhouse (Datsun 1600) after problems for Grant Walker / Steph Richards (Escort) in the last stage.
