We reach the Season Finale and boy this one is huge. The Triceratons are coming to Earth in hopes of wiping out the Kraang. The Kraang however are coming out of hiding to seek revenge. In the middle are the Turtles who are fighting to save their home. Even with all of their allies, even with teaming up with the Foot… it isn’t enough and in the end, their home is gone. The only path they have now is a mysterious ship piloted by the Fugitoid. To be continued in Season 4… TMNT in Space.

The season finale was intense. It was an action packed ride from start to finish. The Triceratons make their appearance known and they don’t screw around. Heck they wipe out the Kraang for goodness sake. We get the first appearances of Bishop, Captain Mozar and Prof. Honeycutt aka the Fugitoid. But yeah, it’s filled with so much emotions that it’s nuts. Season 3 overall was a big improvement over 2 and I love it. I really do. It’s simply something. It does start off on a downer note but things do pick up overtime. Episodes such as the two-part Battle for Earth, Serpent Hunt and others are really good. The Season Finale was just awesome but I have one flaw with this… by the time we reach Earth’s Last Stand, it’s all for naught. I don’t kid.

What happens next… Season 4 occurs splitting into two parts. Part 1 involves them traveling through time and finding the pieces of the Black Hole Generator before the Triceratons do. It eventually leads to the events of the finale with the Fugitoid sacrificing himself to save Earth. The second part ties loose ends as the Turtles settle their rivalry with Shredder and you know how that goes.

The series doesn’t exactly end until the Kavaxas Arc in Tales of the TMNT. I apologize though that I fib since Tiger Claw wanted to resurrect Shredder instead of Splinter. Splinter came to help the Turtles defeat Kavaxas. Splinter passes on and from then on, the series centers on anthology stories such as Worlds Collide, Usagi Yojimbo, etc. They do crossover with the 80’s TMNT as Shredder and Krang of ’87 team up with 2012 Bebop and Rocksteady. The Turtles then team up with Renet to stop Savanti Romero in a 4-part Halloween Arc and all of it eventually ends 50 years later with Raph and Don traveling a post-apocalyptic world. The brothers do reunite and they find the oasis and with it a new home.

Yeah… it’s been a hell of a ride and I loved every bit of it. I want to thank you all for making this possible. I’m taking a break from reviewing TMNT and then I will be reviewing the 2012 series followed by three episode re-reviews of Season 4. Rise of the TMNT reviews begin in September. Look forward to them.
