When you speak from "the new city," mystically speaking, they have a job to do, to keep you out, to keep you from dividing the city they are unifying. Yeshua said his message would divide people even in households. That's not being a jerk, that's the cycle of what happens when a new world comes into view. People agree with it and disagree with it, but not lightly.

Manasseh the son of Hezekiah killed Isaiah with a wooden saw. The Jewish priest of Bethel tortured and killed the prophet Amos. The Jews stoned the prophet Habakkuk in Jerusalem. The Jews stoned the prophet Jeremiah in Egypt. The chief of the Jews in the land of the Chaldeans killed Ezekiel. Zechariah the son of Berachiah, the priest, was from Jerusalem. Joash the king slew him between the steps and the altar, and sprinkled his blood upon the horns of the altar, and the priests buried him. Stephen, James son of Zebedee, and James the Just were Torah/Bible believers killed by other Torah/Bible believers. This all has to do with Jesus saying "oh Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets." As long is there is a prophet who agrees with their spiritual formula for success, the epoch of the time they were raised together in, the prophet is not persecuted. It's when they speak from the age to come that they are persecuted or killed. No authentic prophet is honored in his hometown. The hometown is symbolic of the age and formula that they were raised in. Again, when you speak from "the new city" they have a job to do to keep you out from dividing the city they are unifying.
