In this video we will discuss constipation in children (bacho me kabj ki samasya). We will know what is constipation (bacho me constipation), what are the reasons for constipation (bacho me kabj ka ilaj),what are home remedies for constipation in children in hindi (bacho me kabj ka ilaj in hindi ).
What is constipation in children ( Bacho me kabj ki samasya) ?
Constipation in children (bacho me kabz) is known as if a child has less than three bowel movements in a week.
Symptoms of constipation (bacho me kabj ke lakshan) -
1) Potty of very hard consistency
2)Pain in the stomach or anus while passing the potty
3) Kids get irritable or start crying while passing potty
4) Blood in the potty
5)Staining of underwear, paste-like potty
Reasons for constipation in children (bacho me kabj kyu hoti hai) -
1) When child avoid the natural urge of going to potty, when the child is busy in playing some game when child wants to avoid pain of passing potty-
2) Early onset of toilet training - Normal age of onset of toilet training is 18 to 24 months and some children take 3 years to become toilet trained. Early-onset of toilet training can lead to constipation in children ( bacho me kabj ki samasya)
3) Less fiber and fluid in the diet of the children
4) Sudden Change in the routine of the child
5) Allergy to cow milk or excess consumption of dairy products
6) Stress and anxiety in children due to change in the school , city, or home
7) Child on medicines like antidepressants
8) Family history of constipation
9) Diseases like celiac disease, Hirschsprung disease, Intussusception

Complications of Constipation in children (bacho me kabj ke complication)- Rectal prolapse, Anal Fissures, Rectal Prolapse
Encopresis
Home remedies for constipation in children (Bache ko kabj ho to kya kare/Bacho me constipation ka ghalrelu ilaj)
1) Teach kids not to avoid the urge of going to the potty. Encourage them to go to the toilet whenever the pressure of bowel movements occur, Give them rewards
2) Maintain the toilet Routine, make them sit on the toilet seat for 10 minutes, and make their seating comfortable on the toilet pot. Wash their potty with lukewarm water
3) Add a lot of fibers and fluid to their diet
4) Encourage physical activity, especially outdoor activities
If Child has fever , swelling in the stomach, weight loss, blood in stools along with constipation kindly contact to child specialist
