EHX Talking Machine in 100 Seconds

Описание к видео EHX Talking Machine in 100 Seconds

This pedal comes down to this: a crazy, whacked-out alternative version of the Q-Tron family. Think of it as the Q-Tron's eccentric uncle.

It has all the standard Q-Tron envelope filter controls; Sensitivity, Attack, and Decay. However, instead of the LP, HP, BP filter choices the Talking Machine presents 9 formant filter 'voices' to choose from.

With the Sensitivity above 12 the formant filter moves up in frequency as you attack the notes harder. With the Sensitivity below 12 the envelope reverses and moves from the top down in frequency; the harder you attack the further down it dives. Simplified each of the 9 voices has an inverse; 18 voices total.

Also note the 3 LEDs indicating the level of attack and where the sweep is at as you play.

The Talking Machine can store 9 presets which can be saved, edited, and then loaded in real time via a stomp switch.

If you don't want to use it as an envelope you can connect an expression pedal and use the formant filters wah-style.
