Making of Dragon Flying | 3D Animation

This is one of the animations I did as homework while studying in Trazos School of Digital Arts. I wanted to show how I made it to share my process. My teacher insisted in the importance of good planning, which is the main reason why I was able to finish this animation. And still, this making of doesn't show the time spent in watching bats and other animals fly or the video reference that I shoot of myself shaking my head and neck for that first shot. I loved the whole process of this animation and the fact that I haven't struggled as much as I thought because of good planning.

The dragon rig is the Tyrant Dragon by Truong CG Artist. The render in Unreal Engine was made by my teacher Sergio Galán (Thanks once again!) and I made the sound design because it felt strange to be fully rendered without sound. All sounds are creative commons and by the amazing community of freesound.org
