My Thoughts On The Song/Chart: Charted by "Aligenedspace" on fiverr, and commissioned by me.

Here we have an acclaimed Glam Rock / Proto Punk song from the famous group "New York Dolls" who paved the way for Punk Rock in the early 70's. This song appeared as a cover by Steve Ouimette on "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" and was the lone time the band appeared in any shape or form in any rhythm game.

I wanted to showcase the original studio version of the iconic anthem, as it was one of the only missing GHA exclusives regarding Full Band Conversions. (With "Cat Scratch Fever" being the last guest song on that game that still doesn't have a full band Custom / Official RB Version.)

Song Facts:
"Personality Crisis" is the lead track from the New York Dolls' self-titled debut album. It was written by Dolls lead singer David Johansen and guitarist Johnny Thunders.

Jack Douglas, who engineered New York Dolls, named "Personality Crisis" as his favorite song on the album.

Music journalist Tony Fletcher called it an "instant glitter rock anthem", while writer and historian David Szatmary called it an anthemic and dynamic protopunk song.

In Rolling Stone magazine, Tony Glover wrote that "Personality Crisis" serves as "a jumping companion piece to classics" such as The Doors' "Twentieth Century Fox" and "Cool, Calm & Collected" by the Rolling Stones.

It is number 267 on Rolling Stone's 2004 list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time (#271 on the 2010 list).

New York Dolls received acclaim but sold poorly and polarized listeners. The band proved difficult to market outside their native New York and developed a reputation for rock-star excesses while touring the United States in support of the album.

Despite its commercial failure, New York Dolls helped shape the 1970s punk rock movement; the group's crude musicianship and youthful attitude challenged the prevailing trend of musical sophistication in popular music, particularly progressive rock.

In 2007, Mojo polled a panel of prominent recording artists and songwriters for the magazine's "100 Records That Changed the World" publication, in which New York Dolls was voted the 39th most influential and inspirational record ever.

In 2013, it placed at number 355 on NME's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
