This behind-the-scenes video features Rajesh PK, the director of Blu’s, as he opens up about the emotional and creative journey behind making a 10-minute animated short film — entirely without dialogue.

From a single sketch to a world full of painted meadows, butterflies, rivers, and machines — Blu’s was shaped by fear, love, self-doubt, and determination.
Told from the perspective of a young girl named Blu, the film mirrors Rajesh’s own memories of childhood in nature, and his growing anxiety about watching that world disappear.

🎼 Silence, Music, and Sound
Since Blu’s has no dialogue, music and sound design became the voice of the film.

“I wanted someone who understands silence more than sound.”
That’s why Sushin Shyam was brought in to compose the score — a powerful and emotional force that replaces spoken words with deep feeling.
Shijin Melvin Hutton and Abhishek Nair crafted the sound design with incredible detail, making even the smallest movement come alive.
And Fazal A Backer brought it all together with a rich, immersive mix.
