Seafood lovers have it good in Bengaluru given the city’s easy access to both the east and west coasts of India, hence the surfeit of fish restaurants. But the OG of them all is Hotel Fishland that opened in 1982. The fare here espouses a simple philosophy - fresh seafood sourced daily cooked to a limited number of preparations in the GSB Konkani style. And it's an ethos that seems to have found favour with fish lovers given its popularity even today, 43 years from when they first opened doors. I dropped in for an impromptu meal as part of our showcase of ‘Bengaluru 90s restaurants’ that are still relevant today. If seafood is your thing, this one’s an add to your ‘must visit’ restaurant list.
I hope you’re enjoying my outings in our new show, ‘The Review’. Do drop a comment and let me know what you think of it. Also, please do subscribe and hit the bell to stay notified each time we post an episode.
