How to Kill and Prevent Weeds in Your Lawn

Pre-emergent is the easiest way to kill and prevent weeds in your lawn. In this video we show a few pre-emergent options that offer coverage for both cool season and warm season lawns. If you have Rye, Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue, Bermuda, Zoysia or St. Augustine, this video is for you.

While there are countless pre-emergent options, the ones we'll focus both contain Prodiamine. We'll show which tools you'll need along with methods for mixing and applying this selective herbicide to your lawn. It's a great way to prevent crabgrass, spurge, sedges, and broadleaf weeds from growing in your lawn. Prodiamine is an affordable option that's available in granular, WDG (water dispersible granule), and liquid forms.

We'll show how to mix and apply the WDG and liquid forms of Prodiamine. You'll also learn about the required equipment such as a backpack sprayer, scale, and measuring containers.
