Many people like Patrick can sometimes get lost in the sea of car care products. What do I wash my car with? How can I keep it clean after I've washed it? It's the simple things that we want to help and educate you on.

So, introducing "Detailing 101". A step by step guide on the basics of car care, featuring Patrick and his BMW E36. During this series you'll see us educate Patrick on the most simple ways to Wash, Clean & Prep, Polish, Protection and Maintain his car.
Our aim is to share with you the simplest forms of car care, whether you're a non car guy, a car enthusiast, or someone that just wants to further their knowledge about detailing or the Meguiar's product range.

Carrying on from the last episode Patrick and Dale crack on with cleaning and protecting the carpets and dashboard of the BMW E36.

Carpets and seats are the most "used" part of the car, or at least get the most abused so it's very easy for the carpets to get dirty quickly. Using the Meguiar's Carpet and Fabric Cleaner alongside the Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Cleaner it does a cracking job of making light work of the dirty and grime embedded in the carpets.

Dashboards again are a tricky one as over time they will get dusty and grimy and can potentially get sun damaged. Using the Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner with the New Car Scent Protectant you can make some fantastic changes to the dash giving it that "New Car Look". As you can see, the detailing mitt picks up all the hidden grim on the dash followed up by some UV protection.
