Troyes Cathedral, officially known as Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, is a stunning Gothic cathedral located in Troyes, France. Its construction began around 1200 and continued until the 17th century. The cathedral is renowned for its magnificent stained-glass windows, covering over 1,500 square meters, and its impressive collection of religious treasures.

The cathedral has a rich history, dating back to earlier churches on the same site. It was severely damaged by fires and storms over the centuries, including a major fire in 1188 that led to its reconstruction in the Gothic style. The west façade, a masterpiece by Martin Chambiges, was completed in 1554, but the planned Saint-Paul tower was never built due to financial constraints and a decline in religious fervor.

Inside, visitors can admire intricate sculptures, tapestries, and paintings, as well as the Tree of Jesse stained-glass window from around 1500 and the Mystic Wine Press from 1625. The cathedral also played a significant role in history, hosting the Council of Troyes in 1129, which granted official status to the Knights Templar.
