Como Villa State - Winery, Alexandra, New Zealand

30 April 2024 - We all had a unique experience visiting Como Villa Wineries. As soon as you step onto the property, you'll feel like you've taken a step back in time. We recently stayed for photography purposes and were blown away by the beauty and history of the place.

Como Villa, a testament to the 'Dunstan Gold Rush era, was founded by Thomas Oliver, a gold miner and water race owner. In 1865, he erected a stone house on the grounds with an underground cellar. Today, this house is a beautifully restored relic, immersing visitors in its rustic charm and unique cellar door experience.
