How to change the belt on a Riccar Upright Premium 8850, 8955, 8900, 8905, 8920, 8925 from GoVacuum

Tools needed to change the vacuum cleaner belt in your Riccar 8800 and 8900 series are a Phillips head screwdriver (#2) and a Riccar vacuum belt part # Ricc113. The Riccar ricc113 belt can be purchased here with free shipping from GoVacuum.

NOTE: The video shows a non-clutch vacuum. If yiou have an 8850, 8955 or another model using the rug/floor selector clutch, you have an extra step witht he clutch bar arm. You can buy a new roller for your Riccar with a clutch here: http://www.govacuum.com/7198-Genuine-...


Turn the Riccar vacuum over and have the front facing the floor. Take your screw driver and remove the two small screws and remove the bottom plate. The belt is located on the left side of the vacuum. Open the belt guard door by lifting up on it. remove the belt from the motor shaft. Remove the belt guard that's silver from on top of the brush roller. Then remove the roller brush from the Riccar vacuum cleaner.

After cleaning the roller and removing any pet or human hair, place the roller brush bar back in the vacuum with the belt around it and then use pressure as shown in the video to replace the vacuum.

Replace the metal belt guard, bottom plate and screws and you're done!
