Geibikei is a gorge located in Higashiyama Town, Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture, with limestone cliffs towering over 50 meters high spanning approximately 2 kilometers. It is recognized as one of Japan's top 100 views. Along the cliffs of the gorge, trees such as maple and nana-kamado are planted, creating a vibrant display of autumn leaves in the fall. The boat ride takes about 90 minutes round trip.
Skilled boatmen navigate the Geibikei boat with a one stick, allowing visitors to leisurely enjoy the tranquil scenery of the gorge as the river flows gently.

げいび渓は、岩手県一関市東山町を流れる北上川支流の砂鉄川沿いの両側にそそり立つ岸壁は、高さ50ｍを超える石灰岩の岸壁で、およそ2ｋｍにわたって続く渓谷で日本百景のひとつに数えられています。断崖が続く渓谷には、カエデやナナカマドなどの木々が植えられており、例年10月下旬から11月上旬にかけて紅葉が見頃を迎えます。舟下りは、往復で約90分。船頭が棹一本でたくみに操るげいび舟で、川の流れが穏やかなため、ゆっくりと渓谷の風景を楽しむことができます。
