MK8DX WR Strat Compilation 2020

This video is a compilation of all the new time trial strategies implemented this year. The strats are shown in chronological order by the date of the strategy's first use in a WR.

2020 has been a game changing year for MK8DX. Since motion glider first was found on BC150 late 2019, it has become a huge part of time trialing. We went from 1 motion WR entering 2020 to 23 motion WRs 1 year later. Not only motion gliding, but also motion hopping on RR200. Some of the strongest WRs were taken down with motion, which demotivated a lot of players. New room for improvement was made. It has been very interesting to watch the technique evolve and spread, and it's still not fully understood. We'll definitely see more use of it this year.

Apart from motion, a lot of new cool strats were found this year. And 2021 has a lot of nice strats already!
