Visiting Canada's BIGGEST Hackathon | Wilfrid Laurier University

This year I got to visit one of Canada's Biggest Hackathon called "HawkHacks" hosted at Wilfrid Laurier University.

A hackathon is an event where programmers, designers, and other tech enthusiasts come together to collaborate intensively on software projects. These events typically last anywhere from a day to a week, during which participants work in teams to create innovative solutions to specific challenges or simply to explore new ideas. Hackathons often have a specific theme or focus, but the projects created can vary widely, from mobile apps and web applications to hardware prototypes and data visualizations. At the end of the event, teams usually present their projects to a panel of judges, who evaluate them based on criteria such as creativity, technical complexity, and potential impact. Hackathons foster creativity, teamwork, and rapid prototyping, making them popular among developers and tech communities worldwide.
