LANG, named after Robert J. Lang, is a pioneer of a new type of origami-using mathematical principles and techniques to fold amazingly intricate designs that are both beautiful and, at times, very useful.
The building carries the concept of Origami Architecture, which was chosen because it follows the development of origami art that has been widely applied in various industries. This concept applies the basic properties of origami such as form, folding, and pattern to architectural design. Various explorations are made to apply these properties as the basis for design formation, resulting in buildings that are not only functional, but also innovative, contrasting, unique and modern. This approach not only brings visual freshness and aesthetics that are different from the conventional, but also becomes an important part of active participation in technological advancements in the field of architectural design.
