Summary of Final Fantasy XIV's Story Up To Dawntrail (2.0 to 6.0)

In this video, I'll recap and summarize the entire story of Final Fantasy XIV up until the end of Endwalker, not including the expansion's patch content. While the events are largely told chronologically, I do reveal a few things ahead of time for the sake of quicker and easier to understand explanations. This summary doesn't include every single plot (such as most Alliance Raids and Raid series) and intentionally excludes some characters that aren't very relevant to understanding the story. A Realm Reborn and Heavensward are summarized a little bit more rapidly than Stormblood, Shadowbringers and Endwalker. The latter two in particular are just much longer than the other expansions as well, with Shadowbringers taking me nearly three times as long as Heavensward. For those who are curious how long it took to replay the game, the raw footage amounts to 166 hours for the main story alone, actively avoiding any and all blue quests (A Realm Reborn 29h, Heavensward 26h, Stormblood 32h, Shadowbringers 46h, Endwalker 33h not including the patch arc), all in all sitting at 2,5 TB of video files.

I wanted to release this before Dawntrail, but my mom died to cancer in February, throwing off my plans and delaying me getting through the MSQ a lot. Playing through the story again some time after definitely helped me move on a little, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope you can enjoy this summary for what it is anyways, even if a lot of you will likely be done with Dawntrail by now.
