The making of nanocellulose by processing in a microfluidizer

Описание к видео The making of nanocellulose by processing in a microfluidizer

In this machine the future of cellulose is made. Small crystalline fibers from the wood industry are obtained as a suspension after processing wood, but they are not perfectly separated into individual separated fibers. This is when the microfluidizer machine comes into the picture. At very high pressure, the suspension is run thru some very narrow channels that rapidly change direction, smashing the aggregated fibers into the walls of the channel, resulting in separated individual crystalline fibers. These fibers are highly crystalline, strong and stiff, and believed to be part of the future for the forest industries when launching a new generation new products to the markets.
