A little belated, but here's my homage to the one measly (yet stunning, perfect, you know I loved it) scene of Upstead in the Season 7 finale. I know the season was cut short thanks to the virus, but oh OH...how the writers OWE us next season.

To be fair, in the context of Jay Halstead, that one scene was pretty important. First, there's the parallel to him losing Erin as his partner/love to the Feds. Then the fact that he was brave and open enough to ASK Hailey if she was coming back. Hello character development. And his little smile when she said she missed him. My heart. #letJaybehappy #please
