I think I found a goldmine in this walnut tree. In this one we discuss how much this walnut is really worth as is. Keep in mind that local markets do vary and a finished product will sell for more. Black Walnut is one of the most valuable woods we have in North America and yet it is a common tree throughout much of the northeast as well as the southern states. Once these logs are all done on the sawmill we will be building a solar kiln to kill the insects off and hopefully get these walnut slabs drying before there is any more bug damage. The last log was filled with grubs in that giant hollow spot so it would be a good idea to kill them suckers off before they destroy a lot of hard work. A kiln is what you need to accomplish this so I guess it's time to get one built.
