Calculating Electric Vehicle Energy from Kinematics

Determining the Energy used by a vehicle, and the efficiency of the vehicle on the road can be difficult without very expensive sensors like a wheel force transducer. This video shows post processing methods using nCode Software to determine the vehicle energy used from kinematic equations. This uses a combination of GPS, vehicle bus data, and other easy to obtain inputs. This in combination with an accurate energy measurement can give users more information on where energy is going from their vehicle.
