An interview with one of Italy’s most celebrated violinmakers,
Alberto Giordano, in his workshop in Genova

Alberto has a particularly deep understanding and knowledge
of Paganini’s Guarneri violin, ‘Il Canone’, which is housed in the
Palazzo Tursi, just a few minutes walk away

The conversation is punctuated by Peter’s performance on
Giordano’s 2010 copy of the Paganini violin, which was made
for the late Philippe Borer, who died in 2023.
