Perhaps one of the most inspiring films in history, The Shawshank Redemption, has left a lasting impression on moviegoers worldwide. Its story has been retold in various forms over the years. Recently, a new Chinese stage adaptation was presented in Beijing. The unique aspect of this 150-minute stage play is that it is performed in Chinese by foreign actors from eight different countries. Mark Henry Rowswell, a well-known Canadian comedian in China, plays Red, the narrator from the movie. CGTN's Tian Wei reunited with him backstage, where he discussed his role. Tian Wei also caught up with three other actors from the play – Shawn Patrick Moore, James Clarke and Matti Lehtonen.
