Monica & Richard | What If I Never Get Over You

Hello and welcome to me copying Taylor Swift and doing "from the vault" edits, aka edits I abandoned for years and then finish up despite not being super happy with them just so they don't get lost forever lol.

I started this project a full year ago after a Ross & Rachel edit got me obsessed with the song and then the quote from above just made think of how well it also goes with Monica & Richard too ("he's my happy place"). I am super proud of some parts of this video (the voiceovers, mainly) but I was struggling with some other sections (the pacing, 2nd verse and man you can tell I had no idea how to end this video) so I left it unfinished for a long time. I was in the mood for a heartbreak angsty edit yesterday, so I decided to fix it up as much as I could and upload it, before it gets lost to the void. I wish I could do it more justice but I know I won't rework it from scratch, so that's the best I can do after my editing changed so much in the past year.

Anyway I'm glad I finally managed to edit some Richard & Monica. When I watched FRIENDS for the first time I fell absolutely head over heels for them and when they broke up I was devastated. I didn't expect to love another Monica ship because these two were SO GOOD in my eyes. Well, Mondler happened and became my favorite ship of all time, but I never stopped loving these two. Their whole storyline is so heartbreaking and realistic and it's a struggle I wanna see in fiction more often. Breaking up not over petty drama but because while you still care about each other, your life goals just. Don't align well enough. It was beautifully done and I hope I was able to capture that aspect of their relationship a little bit.
