Our 2023 camping season continues, in SCENIC PENNSYLVANIA!

Our series, this time, takes us to the depths of Bald Eagle State Forest. We’re camping at Poe Valley State Park, another we’ve never heard of. This is truly a hidden gem of Pennsylvania’s State Park system.
It’s too hot for hiking, but we’re trying to get in a quick bike ride this morning. The goal is to explore Poe Paddy Tunnel and the Mid State Hiking Trail.
Next, we head back to our campsite for some Apple Pie Mountain Pies. We’ll show you how to make these, as well as Breakfast Mountain Pies the next morning.
The park was doing a Civilian Conservation Corps gathering and information session that Sunday morning which we decided to attend. Over the course of the video, we’ll talk about this CCC’s contributions to this park and the surrounding forest.
This Pennsylvania State Park just has an awesome vibe! There were plenty of young families here enjoying the park. The beach is very nice, and is complete with concessions.
