In my Entrepreneur Ignited Podcast this time, I want to talk about what kills entrepreneurial success and what you can do to prevent or stop this roadblock, and get going. It is easy to go over this hurdle. In fact we see people talking about success and there are tons of articles and write ups about for example, the 10 characteristics of an entrepreneur, the qualities of successful entrepreneurs, characteristics of an entrepreneur and along with lots more - but right here, I will talk about two entrepreneurial success killers.

You have an idea that you want to start your own business, you come across some ideas, you have information or some knowledge like for example you took a course about starting an online venture, how to be a entrepreneur, learn about how you can sell or invest in a product or a some kind of business - you know or have been shown how you can be successful, you have also read or heard of the qualities of successful entrepreneurs - everything you know to the road of success online. I relate my topic to wanting to start or go after an online business.

But what is stopping you from taking this path that can transform your life for the better? Have you wondered why you are not taking the steps to do this that can get yourself to finacial freedom? You have the resources, the knowledge, ample time and money on your hands, and maybe even some ideas...but all the time you are thinking of doing this and not taking the steps - because you are afraid this will not work? If this sounds familiar to you, tune in to find out how this is stopping you, killing your own success and how you can jump over this hurdle.

Hear me talk about one of the characteristics of an entrepreneur that is actually all in your mind. It is a mindset. You need to shut off the mindset that is stopping you from even taking the first step or from moving forward - thinking that when your idea does not work, you have failed or you think you are a failure. But are you really? Not if you have one of the qualities of successful entrepreneurs that you have learned something, and that is an asset. You have learned this 'tool' for life and you can use it to start another business. Realise that you have invested your time and learned something valuable and that you can use for your next steps or the next website you set up.

Especially with the Internet, when you quantify the risk, you will learn that the risk is small - as compared to setting up and testing brick and mortar businesses for example, or investing in real estate. The amount of resources and money that you need to use to invest on building an online business is cheap, and you can test small and test cheap. It is possible to test cheap before you build your product and website. And if you have already developed a website that has traffic and content on it, do you know that you could auction this?

My next point is knowing or choosing the people you are spending your time with. Be aware of your environment. Like who are you surrounding yourself with? Are they encouraging you to go after your goals to financial freedom? Do they have the characteristics of an entrepreneur? Can you learn or folow how to be a entrepreneur from them? Do they have the entrepreneurial spirit and energy?
