Amazing Performance Results Servicing an ETA/Unitas 6498 Clone. Seagull ST 3600 Full Service

There is no question about the quality of an ETA/Unitas 6498 or 6497. They are the base movement of some of the top watches produced today, like the Paneri Luminor , and the Cimier Petite Seconde Venom.

The question I asked myself was, can you get great performance from a 40.00 Chinese clone like the ST36 or St 3600.

Since a lot of people learning watch repair use this movement to learning on, I decided to put it to the test with a full disassembly of the ST36 movement and the clean all the parts and re-assemble with the proper lubricating techniques.

These watch movements receive little if any lubrication or regulation from the factory, so if you have one that is performing poorly then a service is certainly going to help.

In this video I show proper lburication for the mainspring as well as the movement parts.
