Bone Grafting | Minimally-Invasive S.M.A.R.T. Bone Graft

Dr. Joseph Nemeth spent the weekend with Dr. Ernesto Lee in Philadelphia being certified in his bone grafting (S.M.A.R.T) Technique.

The Subperiosteal Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Ridge Augmentation Technique (S.M.A.R.T.) is different from other techniques because there is no flapping or harvesting bone from other areas.

A small incision is made near the area that needs to be grafted. The tissue is lifted away from the bone, and then the bone material is put through the incision in order to build up the bone in that area.

Dr. Nemeth is the first periodontist in Michigan to be certified in this bone grafting technique. This is an advance in minimally-invasive procedures that we will be implementing in our practice.
