Editing Journey:

The Maze Runner is one of the franchise I’ve never seen so finally I did. It was not great but better than expected. It had great action scenes so I was challenged to bring that vibe into the trailer. Fortunately the main character actor Dylan had new movies to bring a realistic feel to it. The only downside is that the other characters don’t really have some and those that do met their demise. So I included new actors and actress since its also natural to see new characters. One is filling up for Teresa so I picked Hailee Steinfeld since she is a famous young actress. Then as we need some grey character we don’t know yet if he’s good or bad played by John Cena. And finally we need a new villain which I chose to be played by Christoph Waltz.

I wanted to make the focus of the 4th to be about the zombies. So I used clips from ZOMBIVLI film to bring that fresh scenes and connected them with our main characters. I begin the trailer showing the final scene of the DEATH CURE film showing Thomas grieving the lost of Teresa. “Life is not a science experiment” line I showed our villain with a clock, I connected with the sound of a clock ticking. “I don’t want to be like them” line from FLASHBACK I made Hailee say talking about how she doesn’t want to turn into zombie. I ended the trailer with the final clip of Thomas shaking to tease the idea of him turning into zombie.
