The #FreeBritney movement isn’t new, but a lot of us are only hearing about it now.

At age 4, Britney started performing. By the age of 8, she had her first agent in New York. A couple of decades and several platinum records later, Spears was 27 and had several highly publicised mental breakdowns, leading her to being involuntarily committed to rehab and psychiatrist hospitals. That's what prompted the spiral of “conservatorship” and the fight to #FreeBritney from it.
