It's the final day of waltz month. This is not a waltz I learned in a day. This is a very special waltz to me. It's been 15 years since my father passed away. It took me over a decade to write this song for him which is about my journey home from Santa Fe after he passed away. I recorded the vocals and banjo ukulele a little over a year and a half ago but I had never completed the parts for other instruments. This year I worked on the part for fiddle and I completed it a couple of days ago. My final waltz for waltz month: Dad's Old Hat (aka The Ballad of Big G). Thank you all for letting me share.
