Welcome to Episode 10 of the 2025 La Perla Challenge!

In this episode of the La Perla Challenge, we've got three new shooters putting their skills to the test at Jalisco Hill in the La Perla Challenge. Two of our shooters today are experienced in competitive long range shooting and the other one is just getting into the sport but has some long range shooting experience. Aaron Black of ABTX joins us. He has recently started a Youtube channel where he documents his long range shooting experiences. Go check his channel out at    / @abtxoutdoors  

Our Longshot cameras are great but they don't always switch targets exactly when we need them to so you might notice that some of the target videos are shot with a long lens from the hill where the shooters were staged. Let us know in the comments which you prefer.

The La Perla Challenge is well underway with some great shooters testing their skills against gravity and the wind on Jalisco hill, but we still have a long way to go so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode. Shooter with the Best Score at the End of the Season Wins
In Case of Tie, Shooter with the Best Time Wins

Quick Breakdown of the Rules:
-Shooters may shoot any caliber rifle up to .338 cal.
-Shooters will not be allowed to sight in rifles before the challenge starts.
-Shooters start the challenge with 10 rounds. Rifle unloaded. Magazine on ground or in hand.
-Timer starts with 4:00 mins on the clock.
-Once the timer starts, shooters engage steel silhouette targets from a prone position as follows: first round impact awards 2 points, second-round impact awards 1 point. Shooter must move on to next target after 2 misses or an impact.
Target 1 - Coyote at 725 yards
Target 2 - Javelina at 834 yards
Target 3 - Deer at 803 yards
Target 4 - Deer at 1168 yards

-After the first four targets are engaged, shooter may use remaining rounds for extra points. Shooter may re-engage any of the original four targets for an additional point per hit or they can shoot our elk target at 1,776 yards for an additional 3 points per impact.
