Chandler Riggs made a cameo in the finale! You may wonder how this is possible since his character, Carl Grimes, died back in season 8, but given that the show he grew up on was coming to an end, Chandler made a visit to some friends on set on one of the final days of shooting. Given they needed extras they asked if he would jump into the background of a shot, so when you watch the final scene at Hilltop where Maggie, Daryl and Carol reunite, you can see Chandler in the background as a farmer.
