Note that this site will not appear until you complete the "Seeds of the Past" main quest line. This is the Dreadwing site east of Camp Nowhere and south of the the Base. You'll need 13 of these to complete all of the game's gear upgrades.

These aren't one of the harder Apex Hearts to farm I don't think, but this is such an easy method I figured I'd show it anyway. I'm using Low Health Defense +2 on my armor to get up to Low Health Defense +4 and also Low Health Ranged +4, so courtesy of Low Health Regen and how much trouble the Dreadwing has hitting me under the tank arm here, this is a pretty easy encounter.

There are a couple of annoyances that can get you killed. Occasionally he'll spray enough Acid on you with a lucky shot that the status will land, which disables health regen until it's gone. You can bring Cleanse potions to counter this if it happens or just use the Medicine Bag and give up your damage boost for a period. The bigger nuisance is him summoning Leaplashers. In most encounters he'll call one to come over to join the fight, and while you're trying to kill it you'll leave yourself exposed to the Dreadwing. To mitigate this, if you have a powerful enough Sharpshot Bow you can start the encounter by shooting off his Antenna in a single shot, though I believe it will require a Critical Hit. This is usually only viable in the endgame. I tried to develop a method to knock it off with a Tearblast arrow, but there's a strange but and the arrow flies all the way through him and lands on the wall behind. Not sure what's up with that. During the midgame I find it's just easier to accept the Leaplasher disturbance and either power through, or accept that you'll die on some attempts.
