Early August in the remote Japanese countryside and it's baking hot but even here,lots of people gather each year to enjoy the few summer festivals which take place.The sounds you could hear at the beginning of the video were from the Japanese drums called Wadaiko.

We'll be going away soon for a couple of weeks and needed to do a few jobs around the house before we leave.Some cracks in the bathroom needed sealing as we've been noticing a few baby venomous mukade centipedes inside the house recently!

Yumi also needed to do necessary maintenance on her farm before going away which involved harvesting and removing any excess vegetables.Last year,being total novices,we just left it during our vacation and returned to a mess of overgrown vegetables and collapsed plants.

After cleaning the car,we took advantage of another stunning evening and enjoyed some pizza outside.

Next video we'll try and show you a bit from our time away on the Japanese mainland.
