Welcome to the home of Sreeleathers “Since 1952”. We are a leather footwear and accessories brand that traces its genesis to the very creation of independent India.

We are excited to bring the choicest selections of our world-class products online, for customers to peruse and shop from the comfort of their homes.

Starting our journey from a single store in Jamshedpur, we have been steadfast in keeping our promise to customers for almost 70 years: World-class products, at the right price.

Our founder Suresh Chandra Dey was an Indian freedom fighter from Dhaka, who participated in the Chittagong Armoury Raid and the Battle of Jalalabad Hills that took place in April 1930, led by Masterda Surya Kumar Sen.

The zeal to create a new life carried Suresh Dey westwards, and he set up the first Sreeleathers store in 1952 in the Steel City of Jamshedpur.

Suresh Dey desired to bring quality footwear within the reach of ordinary Indians, as leather shoes were considered luxury products that most countrymen could not afford.

Sreeleathers has grown to become a rare phenomenon in the Indian retail scene; a 100% swadesi brand that serves customers across the country, developing from our humble roots to cement our pan-Indian presence today.

To this day, the descendants of Suresh Dey are guided by the principles of the man who put his country before his self, and we are privileged to have earned the goodwill and love of our loyal customers over the years.

The brave tales of Suresh Dey and his comrades have been depicted in Indian movies Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey (2010) and Chittagong (2012).

While Suresh Dey’s eldest son Sekhar Dey continued to live and work in Jamshedpur, Sekhar Dey’s son Sushanto Dey is based in Chennai and is expanding the company’s footprints in South India.

The quality of our leather products is such that urban legends have formed regarding the longevity of Sreeleathers shoes. Once, an elderly gentleman stormed into our store in Jamshedpur and said exasperatedly that he had been waiting for years for his shoes to fall apart so he could buy a new pair, but they just refused to degrade even after regular use!
