If you bought your Bose SoundSport Free And they came with firmware version 1.1.0, then you will want to update them to the latest or at least version 1.2.0 and it might say this will take an hour or longer. Same for the SoundSport Wireless that said it would take 30+ minutes. Both of these updated much faster with using a computer.
Updating them with the connect app is probably taking way to long, this is how to fix that and use your computer. And version 1.2.0 is supposed to fix the mobile app firmware updating so the next time it should be faster to update them wirelessly.
