At low densities, lightweight concrete can insulate roofs about 10 times better than concrete. Also, the air bubbles in lightweight concrete help reduce noise transmission through the roof.

Lightweight concrete can be cast over concrete or metal sheets quickly and economically.
Process: You can either mix lightweight concrete using on-site mixers or use ready mix trucks. Once mixed, the lightweight concrete can be pumped up to the roof. Then, since it is almost self-leveling it can be leveled fast and with few workers.
