In this Kahaani 2 Interview Vidya Balan Arjun Rampal and Sujoy Ghosh tell Denzil how the idea of Khaaani 2 was born. Sujoy begins by explaining how when he hose the name Durga ani Singh he had an agree goddess figure in mind. In fact Sujoy originaly had a very different script that revolved around the character of Durga Rani Singh.Later when he wrote Kahaani 2 he deceided to name one of his characters Durga rani Singh. Denzil goeson to ask about the fact that in kahaani 2 everything is not what it looks like. Sjy defends that saying that in the film everything is true . Vidya begs to differ saying that the truth lies in her character and its portrayal. When Denzil asks about getting into character for the film Viday responds by saying that in an intense film like this there is no alternative for the actor but to get into the skin of the character. Praising Viday balan Sujay Ghosh says that the way Vidya gets into her role the way she bites into the character is incredible. On the question of being typecast in strong women roles Viday says that she doesn't have an alternative but to be cast in strong woman. Speaking about strong women Viday says she does not have too much empath for people who are week in terms of mental framework.
Speaing about his role in Kahaani 2 Arjun Rampal says that Sujay cose him for the role and then wrote the script. So in effect he plays himself in Kahaani 2. Denzil asks, Last time round there was a Bob Bishwas is that carried forward. Arjun says that that is a natural quirkiness that Sujoy brings to his cinema so that will be part of the kahaani 2 as well
