What is Dimension?
Dimensional Formula:
Dimensional formula of a physical quantity gives us the information that which of the fundamental quantities, how many times they are being used whether multiplied or divided to express that physicalquantity.
Derived Quantities:
The Physical quantity that is obtained by Simple multiplication and division of different fundamental quantities.
Examples of Derived quantities:
Area, Momentum, force, Energy, surface tension, etc.
Derived Units:
The unit of a Physical quantity that is obtained by Simple multiplication and division of different fundamental units. like meter sq., kgm/s, Js etc
What is Dimensional Analysis?
It is a method to analyze certain relation among the different physical quantities using the basic quantities like mass, length, time temperature, current etc.
